Hom  Go to first frame in clip

End   Go to last frame in clip

`  Begins playing the clip forward

1  Move position indicator (PI) back 10 frame

2  Move PI  forward 10 frames

3  Move back 1 frame

4  Move forward one frame

5  Begins playing the clip forward

6  Move the position indicator to the next transition mark on the timeline

7 Move to video 2 track on the time line

8 Move to video 1 track on the time line

Q  Move PI to the Mark IN

E  Place a Mark IN at a selected location in the clip

Y  Places a position indicator  wherever the cursor is located in the Source monitor of the Composer window

I  Place a mark IN where ever the cursor is positioned

O  Place a Mark OUT where ever the cursor is positioned

[  Trim a clip tool clip (place cursor at the InterClip position: Ctrl+click (clip must have "handles" to trim

]  Takes you into "Effects Editor" enabling you to make modifications to an effect you have placed

\  Brings up the "Quick transition" menu

A  Move cursor on time line back one interclip transition mark

S  Move cursor on time line forward one interclip transition mark

D  Remove the mark IN

F  Remove the mark OUT

G  Remove both mark IN and mark OUT

H  Places a "cut" mark at some desired position on the track at which you can then add an effect

J   Reverse (push 2x cursor moves back 30 frames/sec, push 3x cursor moves back 90 frames /sec

K   Pause pause the playing of the clip/sequence

K +L Play clip/sequence forward slowly

K+ J  Play clip/sequence go back slowly

L  Play clip/sequence forward (push 2x cursor moves forward 30 frames/sec, push 3x cursor goes forward 90 frames /sec

;  Segment mode (lets you extract a clip and splice it into another position with no change in length of sequence)

"  Segment mode  (lets you lift out a clip leaving a blank space  move it to another location so that it overwrites what is already in that location ?

Z  Lift out clip (leaves blank/empty space)

X  Extract (leaves no blank space)

C  Copy clip to clipboard

V  Splice in a selected clip

B  "Overwrite" a clip with a selected clip*

N  Adds  "KeyFame" at the selected point

M  Trim the clip left 10 frames at a time

.  Trim  the clip right 1 frame at a time

/  Trim the clip  right 10 frames at a time

Short Cuts:

Cntrl. + click....Snaps the position indicator in the Timeline to the next transition

Cntrl. + C ....copy

Cntrl. + X  ... remove

Cntrl. + V  ...paste

Cntrl. +Z  ...undo last action
