You are a healthcare provider to the overweight as am I.

I need your help.  On November 29th I presented my accomplishments in the field of Orthodontic Jaw Wiring as a Table Clinic entitled " The Dental Profession's Role in the Control of Compulsive Overeating: Orthodontic Jaw Wiring (OJW)" at the Greater NY Dental Meeting. I will present my work once again on May 22nd* to my orthodontic colleagues.  My presentation is available in MS Power Point format on my website www.drted.com, click the “OJW_DPOJW course” gray bar then choose the [click here] to view Power Point presentation hyperlink. It is an abbreviated version under 3MB long (includes some slides with audio), and composed of 51 slides total. It takes about nine minutes to view.  I would be grateful if you would view it, and forward it on to those physicians who would be interested, and who might share my resolve to make this approach widely known in the dental-medical community.  My goal is to have you and your colleagues offer their input regarding how we can best serve those patients who are on their way to requiring bariatric surgery. The view point of the members of the surgical community would be most welcome, and I want to serve as a conduit through which their views can be transmitted to the dental community.

* The International Meeting of the  American Association of Orthodontists on May 22, in San Francisco: There I will demonstrate how I made the transition from active braces to OJW on an overweight orthodontic patient who elected to receive the OJW method for weight control.
