Subject: Dentists providing orthodontic jaw wiring in compulsive overeating

Dear potential allies in the battle against the obesity epidemic,

I need your help.  I am going to present the attached MS power point presentation entitled The "Dental Profession's Role in the Control of Compulsive Overeating: Orthodontic Jaw Wiring (OJW)" at the Greater NY Dental Meeting at the end of this month.  It is 4.3 MB long (includes some slides with audio), and is composed of 70 slides. It takes about 13 minutes to view.  I would be grateful if you would view it, and forward it on to those physicians who would be interested and who might share my resolve to make this approach widely known in the dental-medical community. The view point of the members of your community would be most welcome and I can serve as a conduit through which their views can be transmitted to the dental community.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cordially,
Ted Rothstein D.D.S., Ph.D.

P.S. Here is the sole comment of a well know bariatric surgeon in Brooklyn: "The only comment I have in regard to the "Jaw  Wiring " is that it is not a permanent lasting solution. In a way it is similar to the situation we are witnessing with the BIB and the LAP
BAND.
