Reinventing the wheel not
I have been working on putting up a message board on Drted.com. In my research I learned all about how message boards are constructed and how they administered and I came across one that is light-years ahead of anything I could ever assemble. As I read the contents of this message board site, it became abundantly clear that to administer and manage a message board is fraught with problems requiring diligence and daily attention. So those of you would have posted a topic on the message board I intended to create can simply email me or review the forums and topics listed in the index. This orthodontic message board is stellar.

New Topic: OJW for weight control in obesity
Dear MMMB Fans:
I am an orthodontist in Brooklyn, NY whose sub-specialty is Orthodontic Jaw Wiring for weight control (OJW). You may see a photo of OJW is at: http://www.drted.com/OJW photo.htm. Indeed, I have been providing this service since 1988. In OJW the patient is required to be on a long-term, low-calorie liquid diet. I am proud to note that I introduced this never-before presented topic to a conference of my colleagues in Washington, D.C. in 2009. This month the Journal of the American Dental Association in its Cover Article for the first time in history turned it's attention to the topic of the dental professional’s role in addressing the ever-growing problem of obesity and it's serious health consequences. I would like MMMB members to tell me their view of this treatment method to help the overweight-obese regain control of their excessive eating habits.
