Cosmetic Braces   Back to Henry's Narrative

OPEN BITE:  Henry's back teeth are touching each other. The  position of his jaws prevents his front teeth from coming together. This photo was taken just prior to surgery.	The distance between the tip of Henry's nose and his chin is exceptionally large because his back teeth are forcing his jaws apart.
Henry was treated with lingual braces on his upper and lower teeth. His treatment was designed to align his upper and lower teeth and widen the upper dental arch to allow a proper fit when his upper jaw was repositioned in relation to his lower jaw. The post-surgical phase of the final positioning of his teeth (detailing) will take about 6 more months.
