Take a look at their "legal encyclopedia - topic: courts and mediation" and you’ll find lots of useful Q’s and A’s on. small claims and trial tactics. "Nolo’s favorite lawyer jokes" can then brighten your day. "Legal research: on paper and online" is directory to the kind of legal footwork that often accompanies the drudgery of representing yourself. They publish a soft cover titled "Everybody's Guide to Small Claims Court (7^th Ed.)". I read and it its good ($15.16 at Amazon), but my book is infinitely better ($11.96, 255 p.p.) and is based on my actual experiences in court :-) so move over Nolo.

Of interest, they recently offer a picture of an alligator with an interesting array of appliances, mumbling in some unknown language. Visitors are asked to translate alligator language into something we can understand, and to vote upon prior attempts.
